Scouting reportwritten with AI from our own data

A welterweight fighter who lives by the exchange: he strikes at a high volume and takes significant damage in return, without pursuing takedowns.

How he fights

Carlos Leal operates at an exceptionally high striking pace, among the most active in his division, prioritizing volume over precision on takedown attempts, which remain infrequent. He does not pursue submissions and rarely seeks to take the fight to the ground.

Strengths

His takedown defense is excellent, among the best in the division, which allows him to keep fights on the feet where he deploys his exceptional striking volume against mid-tier opponents.

Weaknesses

The most concerning aspect of his style is the amount of damage he absorbs: he takes an exceptionally high volume of strikes, among the highest in his weight class, as a direct result of his willingness to exchange without protecting himself.

Where he stands

He comes off a unanimous decision victory over Chidi Njokuani in February 2026, following a mixed UFC run with knockout wins and knockout and decision losses, and arrives in action on a one-fight winning streak.

Apuestas & Cuotas
