Scouting reportwritten with AI from our own data

High-volume fighter with elite physical attributes for his division who prioritized knockout or submission over going to the judges' scorecards.

How he fights

With long arms and good height for the welterweight division, Diaz relied on extremely high striking volume combined with solid defense, while still hunting submissions when the fight hit the canvas. An attrition-based style designed to accumulate constant punishment on his opponent.

Strengths

He had high finishing power: the majority of his UFC fights ended before the decision, with knockout being his most frequent path to victory. That ability to get the job done before reaching the scorecards was his calling card against elite-level opponents.

Weaknesses

When he lost, it was almost always on the scorecards: six of his eight UFC losses came by decision, suggesting he struggled to close out competitive fights against opponents who managed to stay on their feet and withstand his volume.

Where he stands

He has not fought since 2021, when he was knocked out by Robbie Lawler, and all indications point to retirement. His final active stretch was marked by losses, bringing an extensive UFC career against elite-level opponents to a close.

Apuestas & Cuotas
