Scouting reportwritten with AI from our own data

Retired welterweight fighter with a precision grappler profile and constant submission hunter who closed his UFC tenure with three consecutive losses.

How he fights

Nick Thompson displayed a grappler's profile rather than a striker's: low striking volume but excellent precision for takedowns and a constant hunt for submissions once on the mat. His gameplan centered on taking the fight to the ground and working from there, rather than exchanging in the striking department.

Weaknesses

His takedown defense was poor, which contrasted with his own wrestling game. There is insufficient evidence in his UFC fights to determine a clear pattern in how he lost his bouts.

Where he stands

He has not fought since 2009, so he is considered retired. His time in UFC ended with three consecutive losses to Karo Parisyan, Jake Shields, and Tim Kennedy, closing his stint with the organization in free fall.

Apuestas & Cuotas
