Scouting reportwritten with AI from our own data

Retired welterweight fighter with a grappling profile and a constant pursuit of submissions, more solid in defense than in offensive output.

How he fights

Roan Carneiro built his game around taking the fight to the ground, where he frequently pursued submissions. He was not a high-volume striker, but he compensated with solid defense both standing and on the mat.

Strengths

His strong suit was defense: he took few strikes, defended opponent takedowns well, and he was the one frequently taking the initiative to bring the fight down, coupled with a constant pursuit of submissions.

Where he stands

He has not fought since 2017, so he is likely considered retired. He closed his UFC tenure with a loss by unanimous decision to Ryan LaFlare, after ten fights in the organization against mid-level competition.

Apuestas & Cuotas
